Job Description

The GM / Operations Manager at Skyward Project in Paskal 23, Bandung, is a hands-on, strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations within a vibrant family entertainment destination. This role demands a resilient and passionate professional with a strong background in theme park or playground operations, technical insight into machinery and safety systems, and the ability to lead teams through demanding 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate blends operational excellence with creative storytelling and marketing acumen to deliver exceptional guest experiences, while maintaining financial discipline and staying attuned to market trends — all while embodying calm, clarity, and leadership in high-pressure environments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Ensure efficient day-to-day operations across all zones, systems, and staff shifts, maintaining consistency, safety, and guest satisfaction.
  • Technical Oversight: Possess working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety systems — including travelators, ride machinery, and emergency protocols — and manage maintenance schedules and technical teams effectively.
  • Team Management & Development: Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of operational staff, fostering accountability, performance, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Guest Experience Enhancement: Apply storytelling and marketing sensibilities to elevate guest interactions, events, and thematic programming, creating memorable and emotionally resonant moments.
  • Market & Trend Awareness: Stay current with industry trends in family entertainment, experiential design, and guest engagement strategies; integrate insights to maintain relevance and innovation.
  • Financial & Administrative Management: Handle budget monitoring, payroll processing, vendor coordination, and reporting with accuracy and integrity.
  • Shift Flexibility & Availability: Be prepared and able to work extended 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and special events, as required by project demands.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Demonstrate composure, problem-solving ability, and leadership during high-traffic or urgent situations — consistently embodying the core value of bringing calm to chaos.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in theme park operations, amusement parks, interactive playgrounds, or high-traffic family entertainment venues (strongly preferred).
  • Practical understanding of ride machinery, electrical systems, and safety compliance standards; ability to interpret technical documentation and manage maintenance workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, staff scheduling, and shift management in demanding environments.
  • Strong grasp of basic financial principles, including budgeting, payroll processing, and cost control.
  • Passion for experiential entertainment and a proactive interest in industry developments, guest behavior, and trend forecasting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, lead teams with empathy, and represent the brand with professionalism.
  • Willingness and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and event days.
